Adult Faith Formation

adult group

Spiritual Growth is a priority for those who attend St. Brigit.  A wide variety of opportunities allow parishioners to join groups for prayer and fellowship, theological education, Bible study, social ministry, or time on a retreat. Please check the church online calendar for upcoming adult faith formation opportunities.

Several of the options offered over our years together have been:

Brigid’s Mantle Gathering for Spiritual Discovery:
Meeting by zoom on Tuesday evenings after Evening Prayer, this group began as Adult Formation centered around a book; then another and another. The intent of these meetings is to awaken and inspire spiritual deepening in ourselves and each other using varied resources yet focusing on Celtic Christian practices and seeking the guidance of St. Brigit, our patron saint. Everyone is welcome. Reading the current book is helpful but not necessary or required. The gathering is focused on self discovery in community using a Celtic Christian model in accord with the core values of St. Brigit’s Episcopal Church.

Currently we are discussing the book Passion of the Infant Christ by Caryll Houselander.
Previous Books:
Brigid’s Mantle: A Celtic Dialogue Between Pagan and Christian by Lilly Weichberger and Kenneth McIntosh
