No one of us is as strong, faithful, far-seeing, generous, and Christ-like as all of us together.
In 2025, St. Brigit has continued to punch above our weight. Our engagement with people on the margins and those who need our help marks us as Christ followers. One example: This year saw the ribbon-cutting for Brigit’s Village, a community of 40 affordable housing units that has been part of St. Brigit’s vision since our founding. New residents are moving in, bringing life to a dream that has been years in the making.
Some might say that generosity is St. Brigit’s super-power. We are big givers – of time, skills, commitment, kindness, produce, and resources. Between now and All Saints Sunday, Nov. 2, St. Brigit will be looking toward 2026, seeking to plan prudently for the year ahead. While our Bishop’s Committee Community (BCC) discerns how God is calling us to be Christ’s Body in Frederick and beyond, we the people of St. Brigit will be offering estimates of how we intend to support St. Brigit financially. The Estimates of Giving (EOGs) that the church receives – combined with special offerings and targeted gifts and the donations collected each Sunday – will shape the work we are empowered to do in the coming year.
In the coming weeks, as a community we’ll hear stories from some of our members reflecting on how St. Brigit’s has been our “village.” And we’ll be invited to dream about how we can extend our arms further, to support and encourage people in their faith lives and in their walking in the world. Our estimates of our financial giving will lay the foundation for the BCC’s planning and dreaming.
Those of us on the Finance, Stewardship, and Vision (FSV) team are hoping that you’ll take some time in the coming days to think and pray a bit about how your financial support can widen St. Brigit’s reach, to broaden the Beloved Community that Christ asks us to build. We are so blessed as a community to have had the opportunity to grow over the last 15 years into thechurch we are today, and we are so excited to spring from this strong foundation that we have achieved together. Your EOG – combined with all those St. Brigit receives – can help our leaders plan boldly, purposefully, and prudently, to make real the audacious vision we share.

Please plan to join us in worship at St. Brigit for All Saints’ Sunday, Nov. 2. During the service we’ll collect the EOG forms that people bring, along with any forms already turned in virtually or by mail. As a faith community, we will bless those estimates, asking for God’s help in doing the work that will be funded by our community’s generosity.
